Hey Mr. Politician

Hey Mr. Politician

I am in darkness in search of light,
Mind chained, blind from sight,
Nowhere to run and elevate my kite
Dreams stuck, to weak for flight

Hey Mr. politician,
Hey Mr. M.P.
It has been four years,
What have you done for ME??

Your promised land,
Your empty hopes, no helping hand,
Your campaign gain,
Our hearts pain, Oh what a SHAME!!

Hey Mr. politician,
Hey Mr. M.P.
It has been four years,
What have you done for ME??

You rig our hearts to vote,
You buy me maize, chitenge, raincoat,
You win, then disappear like a needle in a haystack ,
Shame on you, I thought our pain goes way back,

Hey Mr. politician,
Hey Mr. M.P.
You fooled me once
And left me empty,

I am in darkness,
With one choice, one voice,
One vote, to rejoice,
And support the future like a joist,

The power is yours… stand up and vote
