Forgotten Parent

It has come to a time….
It has come to a stage….
Of how easy we can forget a parent!
Is it me or is it the world.

Every time a song is sang….
Every time a tear drop is lost…
It seems we have forgotten a parent…
Is it me or is it the world???

It has come to a time…
When a song is sang…
I remember you in my heart.
I have not forgotten you,
You are the only father I got.

It seems many people escape…
It seems many people don’t need to talk…
Well I do…
I thank you for everything;
This life, this lesson, this vision

I am a young man,
Having a vision to be man like you,
This is a story of an African parent
The forgotten parent…
But you will never be forgotten in my heart.

Father to Son: Life Lessons on Raising a BoyHow to Be Your Little Man's Dad: 365 Things to Do with Your SonMy Father Before Me: How Fathers and Sons Influence Each Other Throughout Their Lives

I wish

its painful to see young girls all grown,

with no time for education, she got a job taking care of the kids at home,

she wishes she could have friends,

share secrets, have fun, hold hands,

but she stuck, so she wakes up early and sleeps late,

breaks stones on the side of the road, just to put food on the plate,

and at night when shes alone, she takes time a minute to cry,

so many questions, and she asks god why,

life is so hard, and why her parents had to die,

but she gets no answer,

life of poverty is an african cancer,

A million Reasons by Kadoko Mushinge Chanda

There millions of reasons to live,
There millions of reasons to die,
Why should we fight for our lives?
When we are living to die.

Is there a reason for me to be here?
When life is a phase am going through,
Our dreams are not always concurred,
Our lives are not always the way we want it to be.

This is a phase we going though,
We can cut our life short and relief our pain,
Why should we fight for our life?
When we are living to die.

Life is the reason I live,
Death is the reason I fight to life,
There was a purpose for me to be born,
There is a purpose for me to search why I was born.

Why was I born to live?
Why should we fight to live?
When we are living to die.

African Vs African

African pride....remember when countries had trouble because of racism? what did our people do, we were united. we had countries like zimbabwe, mozambique, botswana and zambia taking in foreigners in order to train them and get them ready for a struggle of freedom. History makes people change. a generation gone and we all forget what our people did. its a shame, a very big shame. that is why africa will never develop with this type of mentality.

I got an article from a website just now. i mean we have XENOPHOBIA with our own people??? what kind of africans are we? with no further comment here is the article:

"There was a spate of attacks against foreigners in South African townships in May 2008. The attacks originated in the township of Alexandria which is an impoverished suburb in the city of Johannesburg. Social tension is high, because of the influx of foreigners into South African in recent years, most notably 2–4 million Zimbabweans (roughly a quarter of the population of Zimbabwe). The South African government seems unwilling or unable to enforce border control. In additions to the porous borders, the South African Department of Home Affairs –tasked with matters of immigration– are slow and inefficient at processing asylum seekers creating many loopholes for unscrupulous immigrants who simply apply for refugee status in order to obtain the necessary permits to then work and move freely in South Africa. These foreigners are in direct competition for jobs and living space with the poorest citizens. Many incidents of crime are also blamed on these desperate foreigners. 22 Foreigners were reportedly killed in the attacks with roads barricaded and police battling with the protesters." extract from: http://multimedia.thetimes.co.za/photos/2008/05/flames-of-hate/

Now with this in mind, does it give anyone the right to kill, burn people just because they dont belong to your country? what about the fredoom fighters who lived in zimbabwe when south africa was in trouble and faced apartheid regime...did they get treated like this? South africa is not the only country facing these problems. Zambia faced the same problem some months ago with kenyans, but it wasnt to this extent. i know people get scared when foreigners start taking jobs away from us, look at how zambia is? the whole country is owned by foreigners (chinese, lebanese and etc). Zambia even has alot of south african companies running here, we do not burn people, it angers me because people forget history quickly. This goes for every other african country, when an african owns something in another country we get all defensive and angry, we even go to the extent of saying that they are using juju (witchcraft). In fact these africans are the ones who are developing our continent, but if you get investors from overseas it becomes okay!!! what about the money they are taking away??? think about it. lets stop this xenophobic acts and lets work together because together will achieve better. Lets make the government put in laws that protect our people but at the same time lets help foreigners.

People dont judge people, But History will judge people....
What you do today will affect what will be done to you tomorrow....

African Dream Has Just Begun

Its a major move, but it had to be done. The african dream a.k.a. K.I.S.S. (Kadoko Investigating Societies Struggle) is the life, struggles and success of my life. Its a journey am taking, decisions am making and i will be putting it on this blog as a self expressions. I love music (african hip-hop to be specific) and poetry. I produce and write African hip-hop only. Music is a passion.

The African dream has just begun...
